One more post before I head to bed,

I was thinking. Once I'm done with my denim lesson what could I move on to. I want to help answer all the fashion and fashion faux-pas questions you maybe have and never asked. At the bottom of this post is an option to comment. Click on that and comment. Tell me what stresses you out when you go shopping and why, what clothing do you like to buy and what clothing piece are you have trouble finding the one that is right for you. Like say you haven't found the perfect little black dress for yourself becasue everyone you try one just doesn't seem to be " the one". I want to know and want to try to help!

thats all for now folks

On the next episode I will be giving examples of lower price range jeans for those of us who can only spend or only like to spend under $100 on your jeans.

Also after pancake tuesday is completed we will move on to Rich and Plentiful Booty.

See you next time!

Medium Price Range time

Alright for the majority of us we like to spend money on our jeans we just can't afford the $300 for True Religions or similar brands so a great mid price option is Guess. They always have great fit and prices are not too scarey! We will start off the a skinny jean with a party going on in the back. These jeans are great and will make your little pankcake butt look bootylicious. They are the Kyle Skinny Jeans in Hayley Wash. They are $128.00 CDN on their website, you can get them at:

Pancake Tuesday continues

If you want to go for a more relaxed baggy fit without totally losing your ass in the jeans try Women's Jordan Boyfriend Jean - Gunsmoke from True Religion Brand Jeans ( $246.00 USD), not only with they be comfy anf stylish but you butt will look plump and juciy. You can find them at: http://www.truereligionbrandjeans.com/Womens_Jordan_Boyfriend_Jean__Gunsmoke/pd/np/1105/p/2900.html

As we have pancakes for breakfast we will start with the flat butt.

To all my flat butted fabulous female friends out there, here are a few tips for when you go jean shopping which I was inspired to find examples of from the article I told you about in my last blog. So lets get to it.

To help add the illusion of a full butt get a jean or pant with flap pockets on the back. Embroidery or thick embroidery is even better as it adds even more depth to your backside. I found some great examples at a higher price range at True Religion Brand Jeans.

1.Women's Cassidy - True Grit $233.00 USD (as seen in pictures above) on their online store, you can buy them here:

The Butt Is a Big Thing.

So when it comes to picking jeans women all over the world encounter the same problem. How do I know which style of jeans will make my butt look the best it possibly can? Don't pretend you haven't asked yourself that while plucking through a stack or rack of jeans. Who wants jeans that give you flat butt, or saggy butt or omg girl your butt is going to explode out of that jeans butt. So I received an email today which I thought was great. It is from Canadian Living and the title of the article was "Find the right pants or jeans to make your butt look great- By Paige Adams-Geller, Ashley Borden and Zibby Right" What more could a girl ask for? Here is the link so you can check it our yourself! There are some very helpful hints. As I go through this article I will be adding in examples of the jeans they are talking about in this article from stores you have access at all different price ranges. I will include pictures when possible.

The Jessica Biffi Spring Dress

So if you want a nice light comfy spring dress for this season go to Winners and pick up the Jessica Biffi spring dress. It is made of nice light breezey fabrics in great feminine colours. She won a challenge on Project Runway for the best dress that will seamlessly bring a woman from day to night in one dress. You can pick it up at any Winners store for $99 and comes in four colours which you can see above. It's a great dress and most girls will look great in it!

Yay Sunny Fong!

So I love Project Runway Canada and I've followed this season religiously, by the second episode I called that Sunny would win! I was so impressed with his designs and construction through out the whole season, I had some other contestants that I liked but Sunny was different than the rest. Maybe his secret is his ability to stay calm and clear under pressure that gives him the noticeable edge he has against most people in the industry let alone the other contestants. He put everything he had into every challenge and for Sunny that seemed to be amazingly natural. He has the ability to design in a very appealing way and always putting a little bit of himself into every garment. Way to go Sunny I knew you could do it and I enjoyed watching as you went through that amazing challenge. I am very happy you won and did not decide to leave the industry because the fashion industry losing you would have been a sad day. The Canadian fashion industry needs amazing designers like you, so Sunny I ask you to never give up the dream no matter how rough the road gets, we need you!

Oh and Jessica Biffi you rock too! Can't wait to see more from you, oh and hey if you need some help I'm totally willing to work for you! :)

Gsus Sindustries Summer 2009

Wow. What an fun, unique, fantastic runway show. That flip at the beginning of the show was unbelievable! I don't think I've had this much fun watching a fashion show since...well I guess since I was drooling over Dior a couple weeks ago. The models were so upbeat and playful it made me want to jump through the TV screen and join them. The clothing was also awesome as always. Great quality, great prints and great colours. Fun, flirty and feminine would be a good way of explaining the women's wear. Clothes you want to rip off the model and run away with because they are so cute but you can also tell they are going to be comfortable and enjoyable to wear. The men's wear was just as wearable fun and colourful as the womens. I love some of the mens t-shirts they have this season, very artisitic graphics. Ladies you want your man to look hot this summer get him in some Gsus Sindustries...seriously!

I have to say though, the best part of the show was that hot kiss at the end of the runway. If you didn't see the show on Fashion Television I suggest you check it you!

John Galliano Spring Summer 2009

Even though Paris Fashion Week is over and the fashion shows are now taking place in Toronto as we speak I had to do one last post ft. the amazing John Galliano before I move on to Toronto Fashion Week.

So John Galliano's women's Spring Summer 2009 line was every little girls fantasy come true. It's like these models jumped straight out of fairy tales and landed on the runway. I love the soft whimsical fabrics and silhouettes he used to reinforce the soft, loveable feminine side of the clothing. Now what I really loved the most was how he also added a touch of strength and power with his acessories, all the large "fairy tale" hats that were so tenderly placed on the heads the models were all very masculine hats. The English palace guards hat and the early 1800's two point hat made huge added a sense of high rank and power to these women even though the clothes were very feminine.

I also have to mention the black trench coat with all the wide belts in the front, I think this refreshing version of the classic trench is current, unique and would make any girl feel beautiful and comfortable.

The next best thing about this line was that if you edit the accessories these clothes are very wearable!

Valentino Spring/Summer 2009

Valentino Spring/Summer 2009

I love Valentino but since his retirement am I the only one who has noticed having two people designing this line is giving it a split personality? The quality and fabrics are still amazing but some of the designs look like the target market is 50-80 and some look like red carpet designs for women 20-40. Some designs I could see Hilary Clinton in and some I could see Nicole Kidman in. That is a big difference in style. Over all it was a great line but I think the designers need to work together a bit more to keep the line together to have a uniform style and feel. I also feel that they should have finished the fashion show off with the brown kimono evening dress instead of the long brown jacket that was so old feeling for the beautiful fun, young dress that was under it.

Christian Dior Spring/Summer 2009

Wow.

What can I say? I love you John Galliano. You are amazing! Amazing doesn't even describe the collection he designed for Christian Dior Spring/Summer 2009.

I am almost speechless, I don't even know how to describe this line to you. I am in awww.

I have watched this fashion show three times in the past two days. I just can't get enough of it.

The dresses were more than brilliant. They were a dream. The colours so feminine so calm yet so eye catching. The way he sculpts the fabric is unbelievable! As a trained fashion designer I can't imagine the thought and time that went into making those patterns.

The details in the designs remind me of Baroque and Rococo designs. The corsets did not v in the center front such as in those times but the details of the decoration remind me of those times.

Right now I don't even know what else to say about this collection.

INSANITY, BRILLIANCE AND AWESOMENESS ALL WRAPPED UP INTO ONE BEAUTIFUL PACKAGE!

Why I'm Here

I am Fashionista Lisa. I am here because I have a sincere passion for fashion. I heart haute couture! I want to share my opinions and ideas of fashion with everyone. So here I am. Like it or not.
